The Pike County Highway Department is responsible for the construction, reconstruction and preservation of approximately 544 miles of county roadways, right of ways and 110 bridges within the three districts made up of nine townships Pike County. 

The Highway Department operates under the guidance of the three County Commissioners. The staff is made up of a Highway Superintendent, Road Superintendent, one Office Manager, three mechanics who maintain the county fleet, and 15 road crew members who maintain the roadways, right of ways, bridges, culverts within the County.  

Services include but are not limited to:

  • Grading
  • Paving
  • Chip Sealing
  • Rocking
  • Ditching
  • Mowing and Brush Cutting
  • Bridge Maintenance
  • Culvert Installation and Repair
  • Crack Sealing and Pavement Preservation
  • Snow Removal (priority for school bus routes, paved roads, etc.)
