The Pike County E911 Dispatch is staffed 24 hours a day 365 days a year by two dispatchers.

The Pike County Dispatch Center takes all 911 calls for the county as well as being responsible for dispatching units for the: Sheriff's Office, Petersburg Police Department, Winslow Town Marshal, Spurgeon Town Marshal, Pike County EMS, and (7) Seven Fire Departments. 

Dispatching is a full-time job and requires multi-tasking, customer service skills, and a cool and collected head during emergencies. When contacting the Pike County Dispatch Center, keep in mind that they are not only taking your call but also every call for assistance in the county as well as keeping our fellow police officers, EMS, and firefighters safe. The dispatcher is responsible for listening to several different radio frequencies, (2) two 911 lines, (4) four administrative lines, entering warrants into the national computer system, control of exterior doors of the Pike County Sheriff's Office/Jail, as well as handling requests from officers, EMS, and fire departments during multi-agency incidents.
